The Women of Jewelia

The Women of Jewelia are a group of twelve women who decided to share a fabulous 15 carat diamond necklace as an “experiment in sharing.” Since their founding in 2004, they have appeared locally and across the country at over 150 philanthropic events, service organization meetings and book clubs promoting the ideal of women sharing their time, talent and treasure for the betterment of their communities and encouraging mutual support and friendship among women. They have appeared on such television shows as the Today Show and Good Morning America, and have been featured in People Magazine, Reader’s Digest and other national and international publications. Their best-selling book, “The Necklace” has been translated into eleven languages and Fox Searchlight Films has purchased the movie rights to their story.
