Living with Cancer

Lisa Morris was first diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer at age 22. After going into remission, the cancer came back in 2005 when her daughter was born. Unfortunately, the baby lived only 1 day before she passed away. Lisa was not aware that her cancer had come back.

Now, in 2024, Lisa has some new cancer issues. She has been doing Relay For Life since 1998, and is currently the Event Leader for the West Ventura County Relay For Life. She has held this volunteer position for the past 3 years.

Cancer is not a word you ever want to hear but it is not always a death sentence. Some people look the same and others have lost their hair. It is a invisible disease that sometimes has no symptoms.

Please join us to meet this amazing woman and hear a story of overcoming an all-too-common desease.
